Editorial Standards
How we research, test, and publish guides at The Ritual Guide.
Our Mission
The Ritual Guide exists to help high-performing women make better decisions about sleep, beauty, performance, and recovery. We believe wellness content should be honest, researched, and useful — not driven by trend cycles or advertising pressure.
How We Research
Every guide begins with independent research. Our team reads peer-reviewed studies, consults clinical references, and reviews brand claims against available evidence. We do not publish claims we cannot substantiate. Where evidence is limited or mixed, we say so. We prioritise primary sources: published clinical trials, meta-analyses, and expert consensus. When we reference expert opinion, we identify the expert and their credentials. We do not treat brand-funded studies as independent evidence.
How We Test Products
Where possible, our editors test products personally over a meaningful period of time. We note testing conditions and duration. We do not award recommendations based on a single use or a brand pitch deck. Products we have not personally tested are clearly marked as research-based picks, not hands-on reviews.
Affiliate Disclosure
Some links in our guides are affiliate links. This means we may earn a small commission if you purchase through them, at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial recommendations. We do not recommend products we would not personally use or endorse. Guides containing affiliate links are identified with a disclosure at the top of the article.
Sponsored Content
Occasionally, brands pay to be featured in sponsored content. All sponsored content is clearly labelled as such. Sponsors do not review or approve editorial content before publication, and they have no influence over the opinions or findings expressed. Sponsored content is held to the same editorial standards as organic content.
Our Authors
All content is written by identified authors. Each author has a dedicated page listing their background, expertise, and areas of focus. We do not publish anonymous content. Where a guide draws on expert input, the expert is named and their credentials are provided.
Corrections Policy
If we publish an error, we correct it promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted within the article with a date. We do not silently edit published content to remove factual errors without acknowledgment. If you believe we have made an error, please contact us.
